With so many different types and sizes of bounce houses in the world today, and the quantities growing every single day, it can become overwhelming to try and categorize all of them. One of the sanest ways to try and sort the ever-growing list of bouncers and moonwalks available is through the colors. When searching for a while, you will notice certain patterns of color present in a good majority of all bounce houses.
Greens and golds are used very prominently in inflatable devices with jungle or animal kingdom themes. This is made to evoke the feelings of nature, hopefully sparking a user’s imagination, pretending they’re on an incredible safari adventure bouncing with their friends. Any bounce house with an American name and theme is bound to have red, white, and blue vinyl shining underneath the sun for all to see. Silver, sometimes gray bounce houses can evoke an industrial or technological feeling, and as a result, typically have themes of castles and spaceships. To enhance the silver colors, these inflatable devices are often paired with eye-grabbing colors, like varying shades of blue or yellow. These allow the castle-themed bouncers to introduce a sense of royalty and nobility to their design, allowing for a more stimulating fantasy experience while bouncing.
If you’re looking for a water slide, or any kind of combo bouncer that is waterproof, prepare to see blue. A good majority of all water inflatables have the color blue somewhere in their designs. This is obviously meant to evoke images and sensations of the ocean and cold water, both of which are often associated with comfort and relaxation in nature. Even in water inflatables with a tropical theme, where the primary colors are green and yellow, blue still finds its way into the design. Whenever there is a pool of water at the end or bottom of an inflatable water slide for safe landing, it will almost always be colored blue. This creates the feeling and sensation of landing and swimming in a real body of water.
The addition and positions of color in these bounce houses (particularly in the gray bounce houses) truly enhance the experience, giving each bouncer a color and notability beyond just a solid color, and almost give the device a sort of personality. Designers and creators of inflatable devices consider and apply these stylistic choices for every single bounce house, in order to make each its own unique experience that can appeal to a mass audience. The memories, images and sensations can last as long as the actual inflatable device itself.
