Searching for the right bounce house can take a long time, depending on what the size and style, who the primary user will be, and how often you plan on using it. However, once you find the right one at a price that you can safely afford, it will have been worth the extra time you spent looking and comparing the many, many options. As you wait for your bounce house to show up, there are several ways that you can prepare for setting it up and using it right out of the box. It never hurts to be prepared and knowledgeable about a desired product.

Typically, your bounce house will take anywhere from 1-5 business days to reach your location. The exact time is entirely dependent on how far away you live from the shipping location of the bounce house company. If you live in the same or bordering state as the shipping company, it will take approximately 1 to 2 days to arrive at your door. Inversely, if you place an order from a company located on the opposite coast, it will take, on average, five days to arrive. Regardless of the company you choose, your package will be tracked through the mailing system so you will always have an idea where your package is. As you wait, consider measuring out the plot of your yard both while you search for the bounce house and as the order is in transit. You may have an ideal area picked out already, but it never hurts to have an alternate location in the event of a storm or pre-planned event taking up that space.

When the inflatable device arrives at your house, you will have to sign for the package. The box that the device ships in will be too large to fit in your mailbox, but small enough to be easily carried by the mailman or shipping company. Open the box as soon as you wish. Inside, you should find the bounce house itself, along with a handful of accessories. These additional products vary from type to type, but all of them typically include a custom blower to power and inflate the device, as well as an over-sized storage bag to keep all the bounce house pieces in once the day is done.

There is no need to “break in” your bounce house. The fabric that makes up your bounce house, either polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or woven oxford cloth, is strong and durable enough to be used immediately without any risk of operational damage. However, since it has been folded up in its storage container in mail transit for multiple days, it may be slightly stiff as you unpack it and lay it out flat on the set-up grounds. As a result, the first time you set up and inflate your bounce house will take slightly longer than average to fully blow up. After the first set-up, the bounce house will become accustomed to the process and will inflate at a faster rate.

Renting a bounce house can be a great source of entertainment for a large amount of people present at one event. Renting can possibly save you money if you’re only planning on using the inflatable device, or devices, for one day. However, just because you’ve rented a bounce house doesn’t mean that it is impervious to damage. All standard bounce house rules must be followed when using your rented bounce house, regardless of the size or the quantity of inflatable devices. If something happens to damage the bounce, there are several steps you, as a bounce house rental customer, should take to handle the situation calmly and quickly.

1. Assess the damage. Check to see how many holes, rips, or tears have been formed, if any at all. If you cannot find a tear in the fabric, there may be a problem with your bounce house blower. The generator of the device may have accidentally shorted out. Don’t forget to check the circuit breaker of your set-up location to see if a power malfunction could have sabotaged the outlet source. Your bounce house was likely sent along with a bounce house rental crew, trained and hired to operate the bounce houses at your gathering. They can assist you in the search for the defects in the inflatable device and can assess the severity of the accident.

2. Contact the bounce house supplier. The rental crew has been informed and trained to do the same when any sort of accident or malfunction occurs. However, if you additionally contact the company that you rented the bounce, this will show an additional sense of responsibility to the company you’ve rented from. Your crew at the site will confirm your situation, and what the extent of the damage is.

3. Attempt a repair with rental crew supervision. Your bounce house crew will have significant experience with repairing defective bounce houses over the years. To fix a tear in the fabric, they will likely use a Tear-Aid Patch over the tearing. For blower repair, they will likely have to replace the blower outright. If they require your help, they will ask for it, but do not attempt to interfere without their consent or approval. If the crew cannot immediately repair the damage, take their word for it and contact the supplier.

One of the most critical steps you should take when searching for a bounce house company to rent from is to make sure that the company is insured against damage. With insurance coverage, bounce house companies may be able to pay for the repair of the bouncer. Depending if the situation was an accident or the result of nature, you may incur limited fees or perhaps no additional fees at all as a result. However, if the company is fraudulent, or perhaps new to the scene (and lacking experience), and does not have insurance, you could end up having to pay for the repair and the full purchase of the bounce house, regardless of the situation. This step is critical to your initial search. Although, it should be known that the best bounce house companies will tell you upfront whether or not they are insured, sometimes without even being asked.

Bounce houses allow for people of all ages and sizes to jump and leap around in their bouncing area, but not all objects or devices. There are a wide variety of objects or clothing that could potentially harm a bounce house if brought inside the main bouncing area, such as shoes or any toy with a sharp edge. However, there are still some objects that people may want to bring into bounce houses, but aren’t sure if they could cause the bounce houses harm. The most common “questionable” accessories include hats and jewelry. As a result, clarification is required.

Hats can be stylish, comfortable, or silly, depending on the style of hat and the time and place you wear it in. A common question posed to bounce house companies and web sites is: is it safe to wear hats inside of a bounce house? Unfortunately, there is no one answer. It all depends on the style of hat you wear. Common hats such as baseball caps should be fine, and pose no serious problem. However, make sure that there are no metal objects attached to, or a physical part of, your hat when you enter the device. Not only can they come into contact with the walls or floor when bouncing around the area, but they can also potentially fall off your head due to the constant movement you’re doing inside the device. Either way, it puts the safety of your bounce house at risk. Clear your hat of any pins or other accessories before entering the bounce house. Do anything you can to avoid bringing metal objects inside a bounce house area, and you should be fine. Honestly, your hat stands a far greater risk of being knocked off your head when bouncing than it does puncturing the walls or floor of your bounce house.

Other accessories that people may want to bring inside of the bounce house include jewelry or other such accessories, like bracelets, armbands, or piercings. These all contain some kind of hard or sharp edge, and as a result, pose a serious threat to the safety of your bounce house. Don’t wear these inside the bouncing area. The problem is, these are far harder to keep out of a bounce house than any other piece. Sometimes, people don’t pay these objects a second thought while wearing them. They may end up forgetting that they even have them in their possession. They could end up falling off your body while bouncing; you could even end up losing a ring or earring inside of the bouncing zone, in one of the folds of the fabric. Remember to inspect all areas you normally wear jewelry upon before entering. It doesn’t hurt to have a friend look you over to double check for jewelry before giving you the go-ahead.

Using your bounce house will make any party, celebration, or event far more memorable, and can draw in a remarkable amount of people ready to have fun. However, before you know it, the day will be over, and you’ll need to take down your bounce house when the moon rises. The party may go by so fast, you may hardly remember any of it. However, there is a way to save the memories of your party (and the bouncing) in tact. By recording or videotaping the big events at your bounce house party, you can keep the memories alive for your guests to remember for a long time.

Using a video camera to record the bouncing is a great way to preserve and relive any cool moment from a certain bounce house party, celebration, or simple bouncing session. There is no risk involved when recording your party or bounce house; just turn on your camera and let it record the events of the day. Your guests can put on a show, if they really want to. The one step that is not recommended is actually taking the camera inside the bounce house with you. When a potentially fragile device like that is taken inside of the main bouncing area, you’re just asking for trouble. The constant bouncing and jumping around can cause you to drop the camera or recording device, and you may end up needing to replace or fix it. Stick to recording from the outside of your bounce house. That way, you can get better shots of the action, as well as being able to document other events and games at the party site.

One of the saddest things about a party is knowing that someone couldn’t make it. Whether it’s a close friend or a beloved family member, knowing that a cherished person is absent could end up putting a damper on the party, or even weaken the memories of it. However, as long as you have that video camera, it’s like there’s no trouble at all. By recording the big events at your party, you can not only keep them vivid in your mind and memory, but also share those memories with other people that sadly could not make it to your celebration. Later on, when you show the recordings of the party to the friend or family member, it’s like they were there the whole time. They’re able to share in the festivities, even though they were absent. After all, one of the main purposes of a bounce house is to provide as much happiness for as many people as possible.

Bounce houses can provide an incredible amount of fun for you and your family, but sometimes, owners can run into a wide variety of problems. A common concern that potential bounce house owners run into is not having enough space on their property to safely set up their bounce house. Other owners may have a good amount of land on their property, but it is all hilly, or on a slope, and unfit to smoothly set up a bounce house upon it. There are alternatives, however. If you have the means and the appropriately-sized inflatable, you could try setting your bounce house inside your garage.

Your garage is considered the best possible storage location for your bounce house when it is has been deflated for the night. As long as the roof is solid and secure, and there are no leaks from the ceiling or walls, your bounce house (and the accessories) should be safe in its storage bag for your next party or event. If your garage is big and wide enough, it just might be a prime location to set up your bounce house, especially if no other space is suitable or available. This could easily be an attraction at your next party or celebration, if you so decide.

Measure out the dimensions of the inside of your garage. Once you have the approximate number, compare the measurements with the size of your bounce house. The dimensions of the bounce house should be printed in the instructional manual. It is safer to measure out the insides and compare them to the official size of the bounce house beforehand. That way, when you do set up and inflate your bounce house in the garage space, you’ll be sure that it will fit, and that nothing will come into contact with the bounce house, besides the users inside of it.

Cramming your bounce house into an area in which it cannot fit is harmful in many ways to the bounce house’s materials. For instance, the bounce house needs room to naturally shift, which is a result of the air circulating inside of the inflatable device, causing the bouncer to move back and forth while people bounce inside of it. In the process of naturally shifting, the bounce house can become stuck on a sharp or unsmooth object also located in the garage, possibly weakening the polyvinyl chloride material, or even causing the bounce house to pop, deflating within seconds. Make sure that you take precautions when setting up your inflatable device, regardless of the location. Also remember to check and make sure that your guests will have enough space to maneuver around the bounce house and back inside the house when they are finished bouncing for the moment.

Now that your bounce house is set up inside your garage, you are free to bounce all day long, even if there is poor weather or unfit ground outside your garage walls. Congratulations: your garage is now the prime location for parties and celebrations in your area, as well as being the safest location on your property to store your bounce house when the festivities are over. Takedown is a breeze: you won’t have to carry your bounce house great distances or undergo much stress when taking it down and packing it up. Make sure that you secure the bounce house to the ground using sandbags, as the stakes will be ineffective against the hard ground inside of your garage.

Bounce houses are second to none when it comes to providing fun recreational entertainment that appeals to a wide audience. Some bounce houses are designed for use exclusively by children, such as certain beginner bounce houses that can only support about 100 pounds total. Luckily, there are a wide number of bounce houses out there built larger and stronger; as a result, they can be considered “for all ages”, safe to be bounced in by adults and children alike. However, an unfortunate idea that is in the heads of many adults and parents still on the fence of buying a bounce house is that they are too old or heavy to use their purchased bouncer, or that bounce houses and inflatable devices in general are only to be used by children.

There seem to be many common reasons why parents can’t use any kind of inflatable device: a bounce house can’t support an adult’s weight, adults are too fragile to start jumping around, and moonwalks are for children, etc. The idea that bounce houses are unable to support the weight of anyone out of their teens is simply not true. Every single inflatable device that you can possibly purchase will ship with a manual clearly stating the amount of weight the bouncer can support when fully inflated. Every bounce house you can find has been stitched multiple times during construction to build up strength and resistance to stress during inflation. As a result, basically every bounce house can support hundreds of pounds at any inflation point. There is obviously no constant weight limit among bounce houses, but your inflatable will clearly state the limits for you to plan around. If you still feel worried about the structural integrity when adults are jumping in a bounce house, don’t worry. Certain inflatable devices, such as inflatable obstacle courses, can assuredly hold the weight of an adult without fear of collapse. Obstacle courses, depending on their size, can hold anywhere from 500 to over 1000 pounds of weight, which can definitely support the weight of many adults simultaneously. As long as you remain responsible and stay within the clearly marked weight limit, anything is possible.

If you feel that you are physically unable to jump around in a bounce house, then that’s your business. No one is going to order you to start jumping if you don’t want to, but be aware of the fact that there are inflatable devices that cater to those in need. There are several types of water-based inflatables that include shallow wading pools easily accessible to anyone. Younger children can play and splash about on the various water slides and activities while their parents or guardians encourage them from the wading pool, staying relaxed while using their device along with their children. This way, adults can supervise their children and the workings of the inflatable at the same time.

If you are a potential bounce house owner still worried about how fragile inflatable devices can be, don’t worry. Bounce houses are more than able to handle users of varying ages. As long as you apply common sense while your bounce house is inflated, and do not exceed the overall weight limit, your inflatable bouncer should have no risk of falling apart from misuse. We know your bounce house will end up in capable, responsible hands.

As fun and exciting as using a bounce house may be, every owner should make sure that their inflatable device is taken down and stored away at the end of every day. Leaving your bounce house inflated and powered up all night is never recommended or encouraged. There are many different things that can happen to your bounce house if you leave it on overnight, all of which can be potentially harmful to the device and its accessories.

It takes a large amount of power generated by the bounce house’s blower in order to inflate the device, as well as keeping it fully inflated all day long. While the blower is more than capable of staying with its power on for extended periods of time, leaving it on for too long can seriously weaken the generator and interior pieces. The blower can safely be active as long as the sun is shining, but once it has been running for more than 12 hours, the blower will begin to strain and lose power. As a result, the lifespan of the blower will be shortened significantly, and it will eventually become necessary to find a replacement. This will negatively affect your bounce house, regardless if you set it up inside or outside.

Even if you have a large power supply capable of safely generating power for long time frames, your bounce house’s safety is still at risk as long as it is left outside in the darkness. With no one monitoring your bounce house at night, the device is susceptible to many different scenarios. There is a high chance of your inflatable device becoming infested with insects and bugs, especially during the summertime. These common pests are attracted to your area during the day due to the high amount of humidity, not to mention the crowd of people gathered around for summer fun. At night, the hum of the blower will draw them in. Other animals, such as wild birds or rodents, may become curious at the sight of your bounce house and could infest it, or the area surrounding it. They may not be automatically drawn to the inflatable device, but leaving it outside all night certainly makes it a possibility. Potential harm at night is also not limited to just creatures. Vandals in your neighborhood could attempt to damage your bounce house if it is left inflated overnight. They may possibly try to poke holes in it, or, even worse, try to steal it when no one is monitoring it. You’re asking for trouble leaving your bounce house out overnight, regardless of your status or location.

Always follow proper bounce house deflation and takedown procedures at the end of the day to ensure the safety and longevity of your chosen inflatable device. Unplug the blower, and allow all the air to escape from the device. Once it is flat on the ground, remove the stakes from the ground and roll it up into a tight package. Place the rolled-up bounce house inside of its oversized storage bag, and assemble the rest of the accessories around it. Store the bounce house in a dry, covered area. Your garage or closet should do nicely. Never just leave your bounce house outside at the end of the day.

Bounce houses and inflatable devices are, without question, fantastic sources of fun, excitement, and recreation, regardless of your age, gender, or location. However, it may not always be appropriate to set up your bounce house on a certain day. The most common culprit for delayed bounce house events is poor weather, such as thunderstorms, hailstorms, gusts of wind, or even snow. While it is entirely possible, and highly encouraged, for rained-out bounce house parties to take the festivities indoors, there’s nothing quite like setting up your bounce house in the backyard and inviting your friends over for those long summer days. The perfect weather conditions for using your bounce house may sometimes be hard to come by, but when they do, it’s a moment to treasure.

The best weather conditions to set up your bounce house in are largely dependent on the amount of clouds in the sky. Try to set up your bounce house on days when the sky is clear and blue. The fewer clouds in the sky, the better. Overcast skies are not detrimental or bad to set up your bounce house in, but, in time, you’ll realize that sunnier days are better days for bouncing around your yard. A smaller amount of clouds in the skies above will allow more sunlight to break through, brightening the set-up location and raising the temperature. Higher, warmer temperatures can raise the amount of comfort you and your friends will have inside of your bounce house.

The ideal temperature for setting up a bounce house is not an exact number, and can typically range anywhere from 60-100 degrees Fahrenheit. The average temperature depends on the season that you’re setting the bounce house up in, whether it be spring, summer, or autumn (winter, for reasons relating to snow and ice-cold temperatures, is never a wise time to set up your inflatable bouncer). As a result, you can never get an exact number in degrees of what is and isn’t acceptable for set-up. As a bounce house owner, you’ll be able to feel when the temperature is right for setting up your inflatable property. Now, the temperature outside can be affected for better or for worse by the presence of wind at your set-up location. The amount and speed of the wind are both major factors in determining the wind chill. If the wind is gusting faster than 15 miles per hour, your bounce house stands a good chance of being blown out of the ground. The temperature will match the potentially chaotic wind conditions.

The most important step in determining good weather condition is the easiest, and merely requires the sense of touch. If you can feel droplets of water falling from the sky, you should avoid set-up for the time being. This can mean the start of rain, snow, or hail falling in your area. All of these weather occurrences are detrimental to your bounce house, and can cause structural damage if not handled properly. Use weather forecasts to your advantage. Track out the extended forecast and find days that match up with these guidelines. Once you experience your first perfect day as a bounce house owner, you and your friends will want to keep bouncing as long as you possibly can. Keep an eye out for blue skies!

There are so many different uses you can get out of your bounce house. The devices are commonly designed to hold multiple users at the same time, so that you can celebrate and have some recreational fun with friends and family whenever you feel like doing so. These celebrations can take place anywhere and anytime, so long as the weather permits it. The types of celebrations and events you can plan using a bounce house as the centerpiece are wide and varied, and can include festivals, holidays, anniversaries, or just plain good weather at the start of spring, to name a few. However, the most popular usage for bounce houses seems far and away to be birthday parties and celebrations.

The amount of bounce houses that have a birthday theme or shape is remarkable, to say the least. These inflatable devices, shaped like square pieces of cake, with inflatable candles sticking up out of the roof of the device, never fail to attract large crowds. Your party guests will never get lost looking for your party location when they’re looking for a giant inflatable landmark set up in the yard, and curious neighbors and passerby will be attracted to the birthday cake spectacle, wanting to know what exactly is going on, and if they’re invited!

Each birthday cake-shaped inflatable bouncer is shaped in a perfect square or circle, with an even and symmetrical amount of space for users to bounce and leap around in. You’ll also notice that each of the bounce houses shaped like a birthday cake have larger dimensions than the average bounce house. This is because party-themed inflatables need to have enough space to entertain an entire party, the size of which may vary from event to event. The larger the party bouncer, the less problems you will have during your next celebration.

Thanks to the large size and incredible drawing power that these bounce houses have, you could end up planning the entire birthday party around the inflatable bouncer, creating an instantly memorable experience for all, especially the one who turns a year older that day. Your guests could arrive at the set-up location and start to jump upon arrival, taking breaks for present unwrapping, meals, and general socialization. However, make sure that your guests know all the rules and safety measures that are in place for all moonwalks and bouncers before allowing the bouncy celebration to commence. Guests should remove their shoes before entering the inflatable device in order to prevent accidentally puncturing the floor of the bounce house with the materials in their shoes. Any presents that have been brought for the guest of honor should not be taken into the device for the same reasons: any sharp-edged object poses a risk to the safety of bounce houses and bounce house users alike. Also, do not take any food or drink you’ll have set up at the birthday party, such as cake or punch, into the main bouncing zone. The chances of your guests dropping the food on unsafe footing are practically inevitable. As a result, spilled food must be cleaned immediately to avoid staining the materials. This will delay the festivities and put a damper on the flow of the party, and no one wants that. Just maintain some common sense when inflating and using your bounce house, and the party will continue without a hitch. Happy birthday, or whatever upcoming event you will soon be celebrating!
